Lela Burbridge - Founder and CEO
Born and raised in Uganda, Lela is a Writer, Educator and Philanthropist. She has a bachelor’s degree in Health and Social Care and a master’s in Public Health. Her personal and professional experiences have given her the opportunity to inspire and empower many people. An established author, Lela is passionate about helping to transform lives through her writing.

Andrew Burbridge - General Director
Married to Lela, and with a background in Product Design, Andrew brings a wealth of knowledge to the Initiative as the Creative Producer. He is passionate about developing clear and well-defined creative ideas that directly benefit the work we do.
As well as overseeing and guiding all the creative requirements for the Initiative, Andrew is also an accomplished horticulturist who nurtures and stewards many beautiful gardens around the cotswold.

Suzy Elliott - Managing Director
Suzy attained her undergraduate degree in German and Russian from the University of Nottingham. She then worked coordinating and promoting projects in the charity sector for Christians in Sport and The British Red Cross before training to become a primary school teacher. Alongside full-time teaching, Suzy achieved a Masters of Arts in Education through the Open University. Suzy’s understanding of the art of communication has proved invaluable when editing work for others and writing her own books.

Sarah Hutchinson-Jarman - Marketing Manager
Sarah Hutchinson-Jarman is a poet, author, and illustrator. Originally from Britain, she grew up in the Middle East and returned to England to study Creative Writing and English Studies. After having children, Sarah wrote a successful blog on parenting. Some of these made it into her tongue-in-cheek parenting book Poo Poo Parenting. She is the editor of the book ‘Ashes of Childhood’ by Lela Burbridge and the author ‘Frog Finds Home’, a picture book.
Sarah lives with her husband and two children in The Cotswolds.
